Tropical Storm Idalia Update https://deltierrahoa.com/tropical-storm-idalia-update/ Mon, 28 Aug 2023 20:18:45 +0000 https://deltierrahoa.com/?p=7692 Good afternoon Del Tierra HOA Residents,

As Tropical Storm Idalia approaches the Florida Coast and continues to strengthen, the Board of Directors urges you to take precautions for yourself and your family.

With that, the board of directors have decided to close the Pool/Clubhouse/Fitness Center at 7:00 pm, today, August 28, 2023, to properly prepare this area for the storm. The gates will be locked and secured.

The board will be working on storing the pool deck furniture and the pool life safety equipment in the fitness center and the doors will be locked. The bathrooms will also be utilized for storage.

The Pool/Clubhouse/Fitness Center will be reopened when the Board determines that the storm has passed, and it is safe to do so.

The board will also turn off the fountains tonight. They will be turned back on once the storm has passed.

They will remove the barrier arms from the Front Gates and will leave the gates open starting tomorrow morning.

Remember to store any loose items in your yard, potted plants, Toys, Bikes, balls, Soccer Goals, Basketball goals, Trampolines, yard signs, flags, etc.

If you are putting your Hurricane Shutters up, remember that you must remove them within 7 business days. If they are not removed, you are in violation and could receive a fine.

If you have an emergency remember to call emergency services at 911 first.

The management office will be closed until it is safe for me to return to the community.

Please contact the board via the website at https://deltierrahoa.com/contact-us/

Check the status and location of the hurricane with your local station or online at https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

Stay Safe everyone,

Chris Yates, President

The Del Tierra HOA Board of Directors

COMMUNITY UPDATE FROM THE PRESIDENT https://deltierrahoa.com/community-update-from-the-president/ Thu, 24 Aug 2023 14:59:21 +0000 https://deltierrahoa.com/?p=7689 Happy Thursday Del Tierra residents,

I wanted to give you an update on items that were discussed at the board meeting last Tuesday night.

  1. The Treadmills in the Gym were approved to be repaired. The parts have been ordered and we are waiting for them to arrive to have the repair completed.
  2. The south gate at the pool was approved to be repaired. This was completed on Wednesday, August 23.
  3. Toilets at the clubhouse were approved and have been replaced to bring them up to commercial grade to help with water flow,
  4. A new clock was purchased and is now installed at the clubhouse.
  5. 4x4s for the sunshades will be painted the same color as the trellis.
  6. We have two board members that are working with the landscapers. They will be working on the mowing issues, getting mulch quotes, tree trimming quotes and irrigation issues.

The board approved the purchase of 200 flags to be placed in the flower beds along Rye Road during holidays. The first holiday is Sept 4 (Labor Day).  We graciously have a group of residents that will be placing these out on Aug 30th, and they will remain up until Sept 5.  Please help support our community by respecting what the flags symbolize. Please do not remove the flags. We would like to encourage each home to purchase a flag or two to put in their own yard or flower bed.

The gate system has now been in place for a month and despite some issues at the beginning it is going very well. If you still are having issues, please use the contact us form on the website https://deltierrahoa.com/contact-us/ Briefly explain the issue that you are having. Make sure to include your card #/sticker # or phone number and Directory Code, so that we can research and fix the issue.

We are looking to release the App that goes with the new gate system on Sept 5th. This will allow residents to send their guests Front Gate access codes only. This will make it easier for your guests to get into the community.

If you have any suggestions for the board, please either use the contact form on the website, or email me directly at [email protected]

Thank you,

Chris Yates, President

Del Tierra HOA

A MESSAGE FROM THE DESK OF THE COMMUNITY MANAGER https://deltierrahoa.com/a-message-from-the-desk-of-the-community-manager/ Tue, 23 May 2023 20:02:22 +0000 https://deltierrahoa.com/?p=7558 MAY 23, 2023

The Board would like to give the community progress updates on things that are taking place within the community.

  • Pool: The pool has been completed and has reopened. Parents/Guardians, please remember that Children under the Age of 16 SHOULD NOT be at the pool without adult supervision. There have been many incidents involving Children being disrespectful to other people in the pool. This behavior should not be occurring. Adults should not engage with someone else’s child. A few things to remember, No Glass, No Alcoholic Beverages, No Running and No Diving! Please do not bring your bicycles, scooter, skates, skateboards, hover-boards or any other type of vehicle into the pool area. These items should remain outside of the enclosed pool area.  Please remember to take all your items from the pool area. If they are left longer than 15 days, they will be disposed of.
  • Lawn care: The new company has only been on property for 3 weeks. I have been working with them and sharing the community’s concerns about how common areas/lakes/clubhouse are looking.  As with any new relationship, there are ups and downs.  Please give them a chance to make things right. If there are items that are not being done, please email me with pictures and addresses, so that these items can be addressed to the landscaping account manager. Please remember, the Board wants the community to look its best, just as much as you do. They will make changes as appropriate.
  • Front Gate Visitor Call Box: The forms that were sent out about a month ago asking for your information, your fob/sticker numbers and vehicle information, were so that the new gate system could be programed with the correct information for set up and installation. If you have not returned the forms, please do so as soon as possible so that the updated system can be implemented. You can click here Resident Information Form to fill them out online. Yes, you will still be able to use the amenity/gate cards/fobs and the stickers. Your current callbox code will remain the same.
  • Gym AC: Was fixed and is preset to a temp of 73 degrees. Please do not attempt to adjust the thermostat. We do not want to pay for the service again.
  • Cameras:  Several more cameras are going to be added to the subdivision for additional security. It is evident that security is a major concern to the residents.
  • Pool Pavilion/Playground Pavilion Reservation: If you wish to reserve either of these areas, please fill out the Reservation Form (found here) (Link) and return to Joe at least 7 days in advance. Clean up after your guests and put all trash in your own garbage bags and place in the appropriate receptacle for pick up. Don’t forget that there is a $250 refundable deposit for the Pool Pavilion payable by check.
  • Scooter Jim Memorial Bench:  A memorial sign is being designed and once it arrives, the memorial bench will be completed.  The Board has been working with Mrs. Jim for placement.
